First Friday remains one of my favorite parts of my job as your Council Member. Though a virtual conversation is still the safest way to host group events, I want to listen to and address your concerns as we work together for a better city.

If rain is forecast for the morning we will host over Zoom.

In partnership with my office and the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, the Stanley Isaacs Neighborhood Center is giving away free backpacks loaded with school supplies. Backpacks will be given on a ​​first-come, first-served basis.

Do you need a Mammogram? The American Italian Cancer Foundation and my office have made getting one available at no cost to you.

Through the partnership with my office, GrowNYC’s Fresh Food Box program has been providing affordable, healthy food since 2016. We are happy to announce that Fresh Food Box will be returning to District 5 for the 2021 season starting August 5th through December 21st, every Thursday from 3:30pm to 6:30pm outside of my district office!

To purchase a Fresh Food Box, complete the registration form, then come to the site in person to sign up and pay for the Box at least one week before you’d like to pick it up. For more information, or if you have any questions, visit grownyc.org/foodbox/district5

Department of Transportation and my office will give away free bike helmets while supplies last for all ages. You must be present to get a helmet and you must learn how to properly fit and wear it before you receive it.

Adults over age 18 receiving a helmet must sign an online waiver. Please scan the QR code or sign the waiver online (https://bit.ly/32TBCqP) to register.

Masks are required during the entire fitting. All CDC social distancing protocols will be followed. Helmets will be distributed following all social distancing protocols and only given to those present while supplies last.
